Unequivocally Crimson

Happy 2020, everyone! I know I am a month behind in wishing you a happy new year. The end of 2020 was eventful and gratifying as I was able to spend time in the bay area with my loved ones. During the new year, I was bed ridden with the flu. Luckily, I recovered within a week of having the flu. On a very high level, from January to present day, I started a new gig, went on more adventures with my loved ones, have been working on my mental health, and getting back to the creative sphere. How was the end of your 2019 and the beginning of your 2020 so far?

A few weeks ago, I attended another groupSNAP event at Concrete Studios LA in Los Angeles. I have been itching to shoot on a rooftop during golden hour again. Needless to say, the itch has been fulfilled. Before I go into outfit details, I wanted to say a huge thank you to Spencer, Daniel, Joseph, and Matt for shooting with me on this look as well. I will be posting the second outfit in another post in the future - stay tuned!

For today’s post on the Crystal Avenue, I wanted to get out of my comfort zone, wear fishnets and my hair in a high braided ponytail for a photoshoot. As I wanted the look to be a little bit more edgy, I chose my For Love and Lemons red velvet dress to pair with my fishnets. I chose a smaller fishnet stocking for this look as I wanted the fishnets to be more subtle and for me to have some warmth as the sun was setting. Please know there is no right or wrong fishnet stocking in terms of size, if you want to create a similar look. You can definitely still rock the same confident look with a larger fishnet stocking. Overall, I felt the contrast of the velvet material meshed well with fishnets and gave more texture to the entire look and I finished the look with my suede booties from Steve Madden.

Have a wonderful rest of your February and I will see you all in my next post. Take care!
