In my very first blog post, “Bloom Into February,” I mentioned how cherry blossoms are quite the sight to see in California. As I wanted to capture and showcase the beauty of cherry blossoms to you, I was on the hunt to find a location with a large collective of cherry blossom trees around the bay area. Time was definitely ticking, as many of the cherry blossoms I saw around my neighborhood had already fallen to the ground. Luckily, a blog reader and friend of my sister reached out and gave us a tip. If you are reading this Faye, thank you very much! Without further ado, I present “Sakura Dreams” below:
The beauty of the cherry blossoms is truly impeccable. Whether you are standing from a distance or looking at the details of one cherry blossom flower, the view is simply breath taking. Thus for “Sakura Dreams,” I wanted to encapsulate the beauty of cherry blossoms with fashion.
As pictured, I am wearing the Bethan Dress by Brandy Melville. The Bethan Dress is one of my favorite little black dresses in my wardrobe, because it exudes a subtle hint of sexy, due to the criss-cross back. Furthermore, I kept the look minimalistic and elegant, by wearing my hair in a pony tail, and pairing the look with heels, a bronze key necklace from Forever 21, and a gold love infinity bracelet that is also from Brandy Melville. Details and additional full body shots are pictured below:
“Sakura Dreams,” is one of my favorite shoots to date. Not only because the scenery was absolutely breath taking and I wanted to encapsulate the beauty of cherry blossoms with fashion, I also challenged myself to showcase my silly, happy-go-lucky personality through these images by dancing, smiling and laughing - three of my favorite things to do on a daily basis.
As February is now coming to an end, it is time to March forward with a smile. What were some of your favorite looks from the Crystal Avenue this month? Leave them in the comments below. Have a great Friday and weekend.
