Joie De Vivre

Hello, hello everyone! How was everyone’s Thanksgiving? My thanksgiving was well spent with my relatives, especially catching up with the majority of my cousins who I haven’t been able to see them since I made the move down to Los Angeles. Even though we are getting older, we definitely still crack jokes with one another and played videogames like we did as kids, which I will never take for granted. And so, in the spirit of the holidays since thanksgiving is long gone, I will always be thankful for my relatives and my support system. I am also thankful for you all, especially for those who have supported and watched the Crystal Avenue grow since 2014. I still have a very long way to go with the Crystal Avenue, so again thank you all for being patient and supporting me.

To end November, I bring to you “Joie De Vivre,” an effortless LA fall outfit. If you were not aware, “Joie De Vivre,” is a French phrase that means an exultation of spirit and of life, which I thought was perfect to name this look because I am currently enjoying every single moment of my life. Not to go completely off tangent but after some heartache, I had a lot of hurdles to overcome. Now, I can happily and confidently say that I am in a better place than I was a year ago. And so, I feel like “Joie De Vivre” is my new perspective on life and my fashion choices. I don’t know what my fashion choices will particularly entail going forward. However I want to be constantly challenging myself to try something different, to incorporate and redefine my style.

In “Joie De Vivre,” I am wearing a tan trench coat from Express with a flowy dressy top and ripped jeans from H&M. I went for a cool toned color palette and matched my trench coat with a pair of Steve Madden heels with a crosshatch design. What I like about the outfit is how the trench coat plays as an accentuating piece for my curves since it is more form fitting than my dressy top and ripped jeans. I wish Express had carried this trench coat in the color black as well because I would have definitely bought it. If any of you know of any sales or must have black trench coats right now, please let me know.

Have a wonderful rest of your November and I will see you next month!
