Eternal Sunshine

Hi everyone! We are a few weeks into the new year and almost at the end of January, but I wanted to wish you all a happy 2017, if you don’t follow me on my other social media handles or know me personally. For 2017, I am wishing you a year with days filled with personal growth, self love, wanderlusting adventures, happiness, and upkeeping your health.

In 2017, I want to continue to grow. Whether it is figuring out what self love means to me, refining relationships with others, challenging my creative mind, or becoming more stern in my professional field, I want 2017 to be the year that these changes will come to fruition. I also want to travel more, domestically and abroad. And lastly, I want to take more risks and get out of my comfort zone. I turn another year older in roughly five months, and I have been excited for what I already have planned and continuing to plan for the future. All I can say is, please stay tuned and thank you always for your love and support.

For my first post of 2017, I finally had the pleasure of shooting with one of my sweetest friends, Stephanie. Before I delve into the fashion details, I wanted to give Stephanie a shout out for not only shooting and working with me, but for amping my vision with her different photography techniques. Thank you so, so much Stephanie and I can’t wait for our future shoots.

I was fortunate enough to sneak in this shoot with Stephanie, before the full frontal winter and the non-stop rain had arrived in the bay area. And so for today’s post, I was inspired to title it “Eternal Sunshine,” a song by Jhené Aiko. She sings about having a positive outlook on life, even with life's pain. Hence, I felt the title resonated greatly with me, as well as how I was able to shoot this lookbook with Stephanie in the golden hour.

In “Eternal Sunshine,” I am showcasing one of my recent go to winter outfits. With the colder days and nights, I love when I can choose one piece, which would be my cashmere sweater dress from H&M for this look, and not have to worry about layering. Ever since I have been blogging on the Crystal Avenue, I have been advocating for pieces that are multi functional and effortless to style. Hence my cashmere sweater fits into these two categories well.  To complete the “Eternal Sunshine” look, I wore my Daniel Wellington watch, hexagon earrings from Banana Republic, a pair of black tights, and knee high boots.

Have a wonderful week ahead, and I will see you all in my next post.
