In the midst of March Madness, I thought it would be appropriate to put a basketball themed look on the Crystal Avenue. As I have been a bay area girl my whole entire life, it saddens me that I have not been a Warriors game yet. I have been planning at the end of last year and the beginning of this new year to attend a Warriors game. However unfortunately due to my recent schedule, it has been slightly difficult to watch and support the Warriors when they are at home. Fingers crossed I’ll be able to attend at least one game next season!
For “The MVP,” I ditched my heels and replaced them with a pair of Nike’s that were featured in my look “Cool Kicks” back in August of last year. As much as I love creating and wearing ultra feminine looks, I love the urban style just as much. When I am creating an urban look, I tend to go towards basic pieces with bolder statements, which in effect, creates a more conspicuous look. I also will always try to incorporate a touch of femininity to the overall look for a little bit of edge.
Beginning with the top portion in “The MVP,” I chose my Wonder Woman baseball jersey knit sweater. Even though Wonder Woman is a fictional character, Wonder Woman represents and encapsulates the strength of Superman with the attraction of the Greek goddess Aphrodite, and the astuteness and intelligence of the Greek goddess Athena. All of her qualities to fight for peace, justice, and truth truly make her the true MVP in the fictional world to me. For the rest of my ensemble, I kept the color palette neutral with a black baseball cap from Lids, black shorts from H&M and an Anne Klein watch. After shooting “The MVP,” I did shoot some hoops with my sister and ended up having a ton of fun before we had to call it day.
With the spring season in bloom, are there any specific requests you would like to see on the Crystal Avenue? Leave them in the comments below and I will see you all again soon! Be sure to follow me on my other social media avenues for random shenanigans.
