Crazy Youngsters
Alas, we are closing in on the last few months of 2015. Soon enough, we’ll be seeing the quick transition of the remaining holidays all around us. However for now, an obligatory “Happy October,” is called for.
Today on the Crystal Avenue, I bring to you “Crazy Youngsters,” a playful look for your weekend ahead. I was inspired by Ester Dean’s song “Crazy Youngsters,” from the Pitch Perfect 2 movie and soundtrack, as the song uplifts my mood, and makes me want to get up run and dance like the individuals in her music video. The essence of the music video showcases free spirit individuals hence I wanted to create, hone in and express the same emotions.
With the weather in the bay area continually fluctuating between gloomy mornings to warm afternoons and nights, I chose FRNCH’s Long Sleeve Ruffle Cuff Top from my last month’s elite box to begin the “Crazy Youngsters” look. The FRNCH’s Long Sleeve Ruffle Cuff Top is a lightweight, pastel pink top that is perfect to keep you cool throughout the day. To add to the free spirit feel, I opted towards pair of white shorts, black booties, and my Project 6 Nurit Fedora in black, which also was in last month’s Dailylook Elite box. For my accessories, I chose a triangle stone necklace and faux stone drop earrings from Forever 21 and my go to Anne Klein watch to complete the look.
