Black Pearl
First and foremost, happy April everyone! Can you believe that we are a quarter into 2019? I know I say that time has been on hypermode in the last few years. When I look back at certain pictures or I find myself reminiscing, the moment feels like a second in time. Not to get too existential on this post, I do wonder how can we slow down time a little bit. For someone who lives in the moment and have decreased the usage of social media, if you have any advice for me, I would love to hear it in the comments below or on my social media handles.
Second, I wanted to wish my lovely sister, Michelle, a happy birthday. If you have been following me since the beginning of The Crystal Avenue, you know that Michelle set the photography groundwork. Although we do not get to shoot as often as before since she and I are no longer in the same city, I am happy whenever we do get to see each other, catch up over food and drinks, and shoot some magical content together. Thus, I hope her birthday is filled with love, joy, and laughter. I’ll see you soon, Michelle!
Michelle and I shot “Black Pearl” last year and with the series of events that transpired, I was not able to post this outfit for you guys in the appropriate season. With sunnier days approaching in Los Angeles, I thought it was finally fitting you post an outfit featuring a halter jumpsuit. In “Black Pearl,” I am wearing Lulu’s “Learning to Fly,” a cute jumpsuit that has an adjustable halter tie, which makes this jumpsuit versatile for all shapes and sizes. I personally liked how the jumpsuit had a cinched waist and made the look less uniform.
Also, I enjoyed how there were pockets in the jumpsuit. I do not know about you, but I am sucker for articles of clothing that have secret pockets. For styling, I chose to pair the jumpsuit with neutral colors and tried a new hairstyle out. I went with my trusty Daniel Wellington watch, triangle earrings from H&M, and navy satin heels from Lulus. Links for the Lulus items are above if you are interested (This is not a sponsored post).
