If You Stay

Sawasdee Ka, the Crystal Avenue readers! How was your weekend? I’d love to hear about your weekend in the comments below. Other than the scorching weather in the bay area, my weekend was well spent with my loved ones. Even though it was not an adventurous weekend, I would not trade the time and the memories I have with them for the world.

Did you know elephants are the official national animal of Thailand? As Thailand is a Buddhist country, elephants are a symbol of the practice and seen as sacred animals, embodying good luck. Thus for today’s look “If You Stay,” I am featuring an elephant romper my friend Tommy bought for me when he went to Thailand last year. I have been wanting to shoot a lookbook at the beach with this romper and finally had some time to do so.

With that said, it has been a while since I featured a romper on the Crystal Avenue. I know in recent months, there has been more mixed feelings on rompers. However personally, I am a fan because I love one piece garments and having extra security from the unexpected weather conditions. For the romper I am wearing for “If You Stay,” I wanted to heighten the monochromatic look by paying attention the little details. I chose to add a braided belt to cinch my waist and to match with the braided design of the straps, as originally the romper did not come with the belt. To finish the look since I did not need my sandals, I wore my trusty Daniel Wellington watch and a pair of gold hooping earrings to coincide with my watch.

Thank you so much, Tommy for gifting me this romper from Thailand! Maybe it’s time for an adventure to Thailand. Any takers want to go with me?
