Olive You

Olive You

During this past Memorial Weekend, I went to Seattle, Washington for a much needed getaway alone. On my trip, I scheduled time to spontaneously meet and shoot with the lovely Victoria Lemos. There is something about meeting and shooting with other artistic souls that reminds me how important it is to stay creative and inspired. As a lover of the arts, I don’t know why I didn’t step out of my comfort zone and meet more artistic souls sooner. Going forward, I am definitely going to try to a shoot with a local photographer on my future trips.

For today’s outfit post “Olive You,” I created another light and flirty, summer look. I found myself matching with the color scheme at Pioneer Square, which was an absolute coincidence and made the overall vibe of the shoot and look much more chic. To play off the green and tan color palette, I wanted my accessories to highlight the Tupelo Honey Olive Green dress from Lulu’s and my faux leather jacket from H&M. Thus, I chose to cinch my waist with a tan braided belt and went for pieces that has a geometric design, in which I received a ton of compliments on for my open toed heels from Steve Madden.

And before I end today’s outfit post, I wanted to give a shout out to Victoria for collaborating with me and with such short notice as well. Thank you for capturing me in a light that I didn’t know existed. I can’t wait until we’re in the same city again, Victoria! For everyone else, please stay tuned for my second shoot with Victoria and check out more of Victoria’s beautiful work at her website here.
