Chapter Three: The Pursuit

Through all the academic stress in college, one of the things we can be thankful for is that we do not have to face the journey alone when friendships are created and made in classes, clubs, internships, jobs, or simply when walking around campus. With these new found friendships, we find ourselves connecting on another level with a certain individual that the connection becomes something more: a relationship.

For those who are looking for a date day or night look in college, I dedicate “Chapter Three: The Pursuit” to you. When you are on a tight college budget, going out to a restaurant weekly for a date day or night can cause a dent in your wallet. However we often forget the simpler date ideas like a picnic, where you surprise your significant other with sandwiches, seasonal fruit, some of yours and their favorite snacks and sweets, and drinks. Also what is even sweeter to me is you both could plan the picnic together and spend the early half of the day, going grocery shopping for food you both want to cook and eat together. Then you both can head back to campus and find a grassy area to enjoy your picnic together. All in all, at the end of the day, any time spent together is better than no time at all.

In “Chapter Three: The Pursuit,” I am wearing a heather gray thin sweater from ASOS, a burgundy skirt with a black bow in the front from H&M, sneakers from Target, and a heart necklace that was gifted to me by my mother many years ago. Conceptually, I wanted a look that was girly, comfortable, and not dolled up. As many of you already know, I love an off the shoulder look because it exudes a romantic charm when a little bit of your shoulders and collarbone are showcased. Hence why not go for the romantic charm while you are relaxing and spending time together on the picnic blanket? Personally after eating delicious, homemade sandwiches and store bought snacks together, I would let the date go into the night, so you both can watch the stars together under the moonlight. Corny, I know - I am just a big romantic at heart.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I will see you in my next one.
