Step by Step

In just a few hours, I will be watching Cirque Du Soleil, Amaluna in San Jose with my mom and sister. For quite some time now, I wanted to catch a Cirque Du Soleil show, but I always found out too late when they were in California for a show or had a conflict. Luckily this weekend my schedule cleared up, and I am very excited to see my very first Cirque Du Soleil show.

Amaluna is a story about an island girl's coming of age. Critics and viewers have stated Amaluna is very reminiscent of Shakespeare's The Tempest, where during the girl's coming of age, a group of sailors are caught up in a storm and become stranded on the island. As both Shakespeare and the creators of Amaluna embody romance in their stories, the girl falls in love with one of the sailors and faces the setbacks to love someone.

I am very intrigued and excited on how Amaluna's tale will unravel in front of me tonight. So for the show, I am wearing a thrifted dress, a H&M denim jacket, black tights, and my go to booties lately by Mossimo from Target for a dressy look. I also paired the look with one of my favorite over the shoulder bags from Target. Close up details are shown below:

If you haven't watched Amaluna or checked out the trailer, the link is available here. Be sure to check it out. Tell me below if you've seen Amaluna or any other Cirque Du Soleil shows you think I should check out. Have a wonderful Saturday, readers.
