The case of Mondays have returned. How was everyone's Valentine's weekend?

Since Mondays are always so jammed packed, I wanted to start a Monday series for me to set a little bit of time to wind down after work (and maybe wine down) and blog.

I wanted a simple red look on my nails, so I am wearing Ruby Red by H&M for my first Manicure Monday post. I typically don't scope for nail polishes at H&M, but while I was waiting at the register, Ruby Red caught my attention. For one, the name Ruby Red reminded me of movie The Wizard of Oz, and the magic behind Dorothy's ruby slippers - there is no place like home, right? Moreover, I love a basic red nail polish, because it exudes romance, power and even elegance. You really can never go wrong with a red because it is an universally flattering nail color.

Overall, I am impressed by Ruby Red by H&M. The color is true to what you see in the bottle, and is not shear at all - you really only need one to two coats to do the job. Also, the wide brush applicator lays flat on your nails, which I really like because the application process is quicker. Ruby Red also dries fairly quickly, so that is a definite plus for the busiest women. And for $4.95, Ruby Red by H&M is quite a steal. So if you get your hands on Ruby Red, be sure not to forget to add a top coat for longer lasting nail color and extra shine.

Readers, do you have any recommendations for other nail polish at H&M? What are your favorite reds? Share them with me in the comments below.
