Midnight Rendezvous

Happy New Years Eve, everyone!

With one day remaining, “Midnight Rendezvous” is my last look of 2014 on the Crystal Avenue. I went to the city of angels roughly two weeks ago, and visited the Grove to check out the Christmas festivities and to shop. I stopped by TopShop and fell in love with their petite d-ring playsuit that was hand picked by my sister Michelle. What I love about the playsuit is the fit, the elegant details, and the overall simplicity. Although some may say the playsuit is very minimalistic, I believe you do not have to wear an extravagant piece to make a statement. All you need is your confidence to look and feel your best in every outfit.

Since I may be wearing “Midnight Rendezvous” for New Years Eve, I chose to wear a red lip, a few accessories, and black strappy heels from Dailylook. As expressed in my previous post “Christmas Time,” wearing a red lipstick always adds in glamour and boldness to a look. Hence why not wear a bold lip color to bring in the new year? For my accessories, I added my navy snowflake earrings, rose gold watch, and my array of gold and silver rings to play against the monochromatic look. More pictures below:

I wanted to conclude this post with a brief message as the end of the year is a time for self-reflection and recollection of experiences in 2014. As I contemplate momentarily on the highs and lows of this year, 2014 has definitely been one crazy year filled with adventures, heavy heart to heart discussions, and life changing events. I am not certain if it is because I am older now or if anyone else feels this way, but 2014 also flew by quickly. When I recollect on a few days earlier this year, they all felt like it was yesterday even though they occurred months ago. Looking back, even with the year on hyper mode, I enjoyed and absorbed in the good times and reminded myself to look the positive side during the bad times. With that said, I am thankful for all the experiences, moments, friendships, and opportunities that came my way in 2014. I know I am still fairly new to the blogger sphere, but I just wanted to thank you all for enjoying and supporting the Crystal Avenue. Cheers to the New Year and what is to come on the Crystal Avenue! I will see you all in 2015. Have a great New Year!
