Hairspray Artistry

Hairspray Artistry

Alas, it is November! Whether you slept in or spent your Sunday out and about, I hope you all enjoyed an additional hour of your day as daylight savings is upon us.

Today on the Crystal Avenue, I bring you another combat boots look. It has been a while since I created a look with my trusty combat boots from H&M. Although combat boots can be worn through any season, I think combat boots work more in the Fall and Winter seasons, because of their edge and mood. Depending on which route you take, combat boots can add a bad girl vibe to your look or tie a casual Fall look together.

As I decided to go towards a casual look, I also styled “Hairspray Artistry” around “Hairspray,” a graphic tee by Jasmiini Ottelin at Threadless. Not only is the “Hairspray” graphic like a graffiti piece, I like how the woman in the graphic is one with the hairspray can. Many individuals use hairspray as an everyday, ordinary activity. However the concept demonstrates the idea that the hairspray becomes a piece of our identity.

Over the graphic tee, I am wearing a wool cardigan in the color burgundy from H&M for warmth. For the lower portion, I opted for my black shorts from H&M as well, since it is not freezing yet in the bay area. And for my earrings, I chose my silver spiked earrings to complete the look.
