Parisian Love

Hi Everyone! Life hasn’t stopped being busy, so I apologize for being away from the Crystal Avenue for the past week.

Today on the Crystal Avenue, I was inspired by Paris and created a look with a Parisian feel. I went for a gray cropped sweater with a mini black skirt. I chose the gray cropped sweater because the cut of the cropped sweater almost looks like a turtleneck, which is a piece many Parisians wear. Whether the individual is rocking the runway for Paris fashion week or sitting at a cafe, wearing a turtleneck never goes out of style in Paris. The idea of taking a basic piece and creating a clean, artisan look is one of the ideas and concepts I love about the fashion in Paris.

With my gray sweater being cropped, I tucked the sweater underneath the vegan leather mini skirt from Nu New York when I was standing, to show the fit of the skirt. I absolutely love the pleated design on this skirt, because it creates movement to the dress. A big thanks to my brother who travelled to New York a while back and gifted me this skirt. I will definitely have to stop by Nu New York when I visit in the future.

For my accessories, I chose my a bronze key necklace, to represent a key of love. To finish the look, I wanted to play on the leather texture and picked my black booties from BCBGMAXAZRIA.

At last we are wrapping up on April and May is just around the corner, which means Mother’s Day is quickly approaching and I am turning a year older in just a few weeks. How nerve wrecking! However I digress, I will see you all back here on the Crystal Avenue on May 2nd.
