This past weekend, I was invited to my friends Jorden and Kalvin’s wedding in San Francisco. Since I don’t know when I will get another opportunity to get glammed up for another black tie event, I took the opportunity to shoot and share my look “Bella Donna” on the Crystal Avenue for inspiration and tips for any of your future dolled up events. Before I delve into any further details of “Bella Donna,” I wanted to thank the newlyweds for allowing me to witness and be apart of your special day. Now, go embark and enjoy this new adventure as husband and wife.

When I received the wedding invitation a few months ago, I began to hunt down for the perfect dress as the attire requirement was formal, black tie for everyone, and full length dresses were recommended for women. For formal and black tie events, the colors individuals tend to stray towards are dark colors to take the look through the evening. Hence when I was hunting down for the perfect evening dress, I wanted to pick between blue or purple. Luckily when I was searching for the dress, prom and the summer wedding season was in full bloom, and I found my dress.

In “Bella Donna,” the full length midnight blue halter dress is from Macy’s by B. Darlin. Made out of polyester, the halter dress gives an elegant shine when light hits it. What I love the most is the front of the dress, where there is a cross weaving pattern across the chest to the hips. For the accessory portion, I kept the earrings classic with two pearl earrings, and chose my Achocalla heels from Aldo that have a metallic gold embellishment. And for the makeup, I kept my face routine the same and followed Lindy’s (Bubzbeauty) make up tutorial: Million Dollar Look. If you are interested, let me know if you would like for me to list the products in future posts that I used for looks that are not for every day.

With the fashion aside, the wedding affair was absolutely beautiful, and to be a witness of an ongoing love story is truly a heartfelt experience. Thank you again, Jorden and Kalvin for sharing your love and day with all of us.

One thing that I absolutely love about weddings is the photo booths. As a photo booth addict, I wanted share three pictures that were taken at the wedding with my beloved friends that I hope will make you smile and laugh.

Thank you Two Dudes & a Booth for these great photo booth pictures, and my friends for just being who you guys are: awesome. And before I completely wrap up on this blog post, I also wanted to thank my sister Michelle, for being my sister and always taking the time to help me shoot and edit, especially under a tight schedule, and James, for being my plus one to Jorden and Kalvin’s wedding. Thanks for being a part of my life, everyone. Till next time, lovelies!
