Manicure Monday: Bikini So Teeny

Today’s Manicure Monday features another favorite nail varnish of mine by Essie: Bikini So Teeny, a sparking, periwinkle. There are a couple of reasons why I love Bikini So Teeny. The first reason is the color. Other than being a pretty periwinkle or cornflower blue, Bikini So Teeny sets the mood of happier days, spring and the upcoming summer season. The second reason is the drying time. The color dried under 5 minutes, which was a little bit mind boggling, but a definite plus. And lastly, the third reason is the clever yet cute name to tie to a pretty Bikini color - I chuckled, as I started to play the song “Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini” by Brian Hyland and Yoplait Yogurt commercial in my head.

When applying the nail varnish, the color is sheer. However with all sheer nail polishes, layering a few coats will bring the color to its fruition. As always, a top coat is always necessary to extend the wear of the color on your nails. Be sure not to skip this step!

Before I wrap up this Manicure Monday, apologizes for my lack of fashion posts last week. I got sick last week, and am still in recovery mode. Stay tuned -  I promise there is couple of surprises that is going to be worth the wait.
