Manicure Monday: Black Out & Set In Stone

Hello, hello! How was everyone’s Christmas? For me, Christmas was a joyous occasion with my family. Between all the food and never ending laughs, it was really nice to just relax for a little bit and to be surrounded by good company.

Today is the last Manicure Monday of 2014 on the Crystal Avenue! I decided to create a simple manicure around New Years since it is quickly approaching. Glam and sparkle go hand in hand when people think of the new year. Thus after starting with a layer of a black nail varnish called Black Out from Sally Hansen for an edgy feel and as my base, I used scotch tape to lay on my nail at an angle to create a triangular design. The scotch tape acts like a stencil for your nail when you overlay the nail polish in the desired section. As I wanted to wear a decent amount of glitter on my nails, I chose Essie’s Set in Stone, a silver multidimensional top coat, reminiscent of the Times Square Ball. To complete the glamorous look, do not forget to layer a clear top coat to seal in the manicure for the New Year.

I will see you again on New Years Eve for my last look of the year! If you follow me on instagram, a preview will be posted so be sure to follow and check it out then.
